Birth Story:
I went in for my regular DA on April 9th. There had still been no change (no dialation, effacing, etc.). Originally my doc
had planned to induce on Thurs. the 12th if I did not do anything. Well, she ended up saying, "How about having a baby
today?" I looked at my DH like OMG.
She called the hospital to make sure they had room and told me to go right over. We arrived around 10am and was hooked
up and monitored. They said I was contracting and decided to watch me to see if they would get closer together. After about
an hour, they inserted the cervidil to soften my cervix. That sent me right into labor.
A few hours into it, my contractions were hard and on top of each other. At that point, I was only dialated to 4cm.
I decided to get an epidural... that was so great. To be able to relax and not want to hurt DH was nice Wink.
I was checked again at around 8pm and was 8cm. The nurse started going over how to push and I was getting excited that
this was finally coming to an end and my princess would be here. I ended up staying at 8cm for the next 3 hours and baby
was not descending. They became concerned about her heartrate and said we need to do a c-section.
Adrianna Cayenne was born on April 9th at 11:58pm, weighing 8lbs 15oz and 21 inches.
