Birth Story:
I was scheduled to be induced on April 11th at 8:00pm. The hospital called at 6:00pm
and said not to come in b/c they were so busy!! I was so mad!!! I wanted this baby out yesterday. So I went
to bed pouting :) My hubby woke me up at 10:30pm to tell me the hospital called and said I could come in now!!
Yipee!! I was 2cm and 100% effaced when I got to the hospital so they decided to start pitocin. That started around
1:30am. My nurse came in every hour to increase the rate. I was having contractions, but they weren't regular
and I wasn't really in any pain (I knew that wasn't good). By 7:30am I had only dialated to a 3cm :( I thought
they were going to send me home. My OB came in at 8:00am and said I could go home, or I could stay and they would break
my water. I chose to stay :) I got my epidural before they broke my water!! Ladies, that is the way to go,
I didn't feel ONE contraction :) From that point on, I dialated 1cm per hour. I was complete and ready to push
at 4:30pm. The nurse paged my OB, but we found out she had just been called to emergency surgery! So I decided
to wait for her, I was comfortable, so I didn't mind. My OB came in at 6:45pm and the fun began. I pushed and
pushed and pushed. My hubby was great. He kept telling me he could see the head and that I was doing an amazing
job. At 8:09pm Cooper was born!! I couldn't believe how cute he was and I'll never forget how happy I was!
