Birth Story:
We were scheduled for induction at 6am on the 19th but Katie didn't want to wait. I had been
having contractions for a few days and they finally got to 3-5 minutes apart so we headed to the hospital and arrived at 12:30am
on the 19th. I was 6cms dilated, 0 station, 100%. We had a few scares with decelerated heartbeat and all the nurses and drs
running in and giving me oxygen and flipping me from one side to another. That was so scary. My water was broken and there
was meconium so we the NICU tem was in the room at the birth. Got my epidural and was pushing by 4:40. My beautiful, healthy,
dark-haired daughter was born only weighing 7lbs. 15ozs and 21.5 inches long. By all estimates and my previous births, she
was estimated to be 9lbs by the induction date. I had a tear and episiotomy so my bottom is pretty sore right now but I am
still on that high and would definitely do it again (if you asked me now...tomorrow may be a different story though).
